July 13th

I post these pictures of my birthday not to make you feel guilty for not sending me a present, which you didn't, except you Mark, your a true friend (sorry I forgot your birthday again), but to point out my cake. It was half eaten before I got to blow out the candles. That's OK because my beautiful wife made me a gooey butter cake. No big deal you say, well no one knows what one is up here in the Pac NW. I haven't had gooey butter since about 1995. It was worth the wait. Maybe next time it won't be half eaten before I blow out the candles. Oh yeah the other pictures are of the kids enjoying our new pool. One that Abbie swore would be no fun "because it's a toddler pool and as you can see I'm no toddler." But she had a blast in it anyway.

The hike

We did a hike to the top of Harney Peak. It was a 6.5 mile round trip hike with 1500 feet of elevation gain and Abbie made it every step of the way. Never complaining once. Cheri and I were very proud of her.

Yep....She's a Daddy's girl

Two fisting it and the tender age of 14 months. That's my girl. She gets her juice in the morning then waits for Peter to get engrossed in his morning shows, and then goes and steals his. She has it polished off before Peter even realizes that he no longer has a juice cup. She does it every morning and he never catches on.

A day at the Zoo

I got to go to the zoo with Abbie's 1st grade class. Abbie had 4 boys from her class who had camera's and wanted to know if they could take her picture (they are walking with a limp now). It was a really fun day and I was reminded of how fun it is to be a kid.
